Rapid River

Carrabassett Wading Trips  The Carrabassett River is a crystal clear river with much of it's source coming from Sugarloaf Mountain.  The Carrabassett is a beautiful piece of water holding colorful and lively native brook trout.  This water is best fished in June, earlier the spring run-off creates high water and as July approaches the water warms beyond optimal fishing temperatures.  We will recommend flies and will supply flies at no charge for these trips.  These packages are only available for June:

2 hour wading trip:  $75.00 (US) for one or two people, includes a snack.

4 hour wading trip:  $125.00 (US) for one or two people, includes a hearty meal prepared streamside.

Dead River/Spencer Stream Trips  These trips are true adventures for us.  This trip requires some physical exertion to get to the best fishing.  For years we have been catching trophy landlocked salmon, brook trout and rainbow trout in this area.  The availability of these trips is dependant on white water rafting water releases.  When the rafters are running, the water is too high to fish.  Side trips to Spencer Stream can compensate when the Dead River is too high.  We will recommend flies and will supply flies at no charge for these trips.  These packages are available late May through November:

8 Hour wading trip:  $225.00 (US) for one or two people, includes a shore side lunch prepared by your guide.

The Over Nighter:  $275.00 (US) for one or two people, includes all meals and tall tales at the campfire in the evening.

FFO Ponds  We can get you into a number of secluded Fly Fishing Only ponds that hold some beautiful brook trout and/or landlocked salmon.  These are float tube or canoe fishing adventures and usually require a good hike into the pond.  Don't forget your camera on these adventures, you never know what we will see for wildlife in these backwoods ponds.  We will recommend flies and will supply flies at no charge for these trips.  We will supply the canoe and/or float tubes for these trips.  These packages are available late May through September:

8 Hour trip:  $250.00 (US) for one or two people, includes a shore side lunch prepared by your guide.

Rapid River  Imagine trophy brook trout over twenty inches!  The fish are finicky but we can help you find them.  This is a great adventure for the expert as well as the novice.  The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife has done a tremendous job bringing this fishery back to the level in days gone by.  Best dates are after Memorial day through September.  We will recommend and supply flies at no charge for this trip.

8 Hour trip:  $300.00 (US) for one or two people, includes a shore side lunch prepared by your guide.
